UK : Polaris Windgrip Gloves (vortex protection)

This product may only be available in the UK
Review
Polaris Windgrip cycle gloves (with vortex wind protection)
Cost : Around £20
Reason bought : As lightweight windproof gloves for cycling.

Verdict : They are ok as a lightweight windproof spring/autumn cycling glove with lots of freedom of movement but their use is limited to me due to weather and temperature concerns.

Main points :
Lightweight, windproof, showerproof, with lots of silicon gripping on palm, made of 100% polyester

What they are not :
For very rainy condition ? Not breathable ? Very little thermal insulation.

These gloves seem to be only available in the UK (or perhaps the EU). Polaris seem to be based in Derby UK. There is not much about these gloves on the Polaris website or on the internet in general.

I would say these cycle gloves are intended as 'spring/autumn' gloves, where temperatures are above 0 degrees but not too hot (say over 6-10 degrees Celsius). Too cold and you can feel the cold, too warm and it gets sweaty. Not being fully waterproof also makes them of limited use, as does the lack of breathability (?). They are lightweight and don't restrict movement much. Personally I would prefer them to be as lightweight as possible with breathability and little thermal insulation. Even with the limited thermal insulation they have, things can get a bit hot at over 6 degrees.

The label says they can be washed in a washing machine at 30 degrees but they should probably not be spun dry and definitely not tumble dried. I am wondering if they are completely windproof or if it is just the lining over the back of the hand and the four fingers. The material over the back of the thumb looks different, as does the palm. But currently I am guessing it is completely windproof.

I use them as a liner glove in winter but I don't think they have much use as a liner glove.

Overall they are ok. Nice looking design. I think I want more from a lightweight cycle glove. Perhaps I am expecting too much at the price.

My ideal non-winter cycle glove would be :
As light as possible. Waterproof, windproof and breathable. No thermal insulation so they can be worn in summer rain.
